ITC (International Tribology Conference) Fukuoka 2023 is will be held in Fukuoka City, Japan from September 25 to 30, 2023. We will participate in the poster session. The title of the poster session is "Water lubrication characteristics of silicon nitride supporting nanosilica particles of different particle sizes".

The objective is to construct a water lubrication system that is both carbon neutral and energy efficient by using water as a lubricant to achieve ultra-low friction on sliding surfaces.

This sample is a prototype of a alumina ceramics with an outer diameter of 26 mm, an inner diameter of 22 mm, and a length of 192 mm as a long alumina pipe.

We finished the inner diameter, but since the aspect ratio (L / D ratio) exceeds 8 processing becomes very difficult thing.

The measurement results of this sample are as follows.

This sample is a prototype of a zirconia ceramics with an outer diameter of 7 mm, an inner diameter of 3 mm, and a length of 6 mm as a small diameter ceramics mold.

Required accuracy for this sample is very severe.
Roundness of 3 mm inside diameter, cylindricity within 0.0005, squareness to inner diameter and end face is within 0.0005.

We have cleared 0.0005 for both the roundness and the cylindricity.



Even though processing of the squareness is very difficult, we cleared 0.0005 here.
